An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proven Service Manager to join a thriving and well-supported main dealer environment.

This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing a busy team across Service, Parts and Workshop, where customer satisfaction, staff development and operational excellence are at the heart of everything they do.

This position manages a team of 13 after sales professionals, including 3 Service Advisors, 2 Parts Advisors, 7 Technicians and a Driver, as well as coordination with outsourced cleaning and detailing partners. It requires a confident, customer-focused leader who can balance day-to-day operations with strategic oversight, ensuring both customer satisfaction and departmental profitability remain at the highest level.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and manage the Service Department, ensuring collaboration across Service, Parts and Workshop teams.
• Drive performance to exceed customer satisfaction, KPI and profitability targets.
• Set clear goals to optimise workshop efficiency and technician productivity.
• Manage departmental budgets, financial controls and performance reporting.
• Ensure warranty and manufacturer procedures are followed accurately.
• Handle customer queries and complaints quickly and effectively.
• Recruit, train and develop team members to achieve department objectives.

Qualifications

• Proven track record managing a successful Service Department, ideally within a main dealer.
• Consideration will also be given to experienced Assistant Managers looking to take their next step, or those from a fast-fit environment with 5+ years experience.
• Strong technical understanding and commercial awareness.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Passion for delivering outstanding customer service and motivating teams.

Salary and Benefits

• £40,000 basic salary, £60,000 realistic OTE
• Monday to Friday, 8:00am 5:30pm
• Company car + fuel (mileage via app)
• 25 days holiday + bank holidays
