Job Description

Venrec are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client; an established manufacturing firm based in Southend-on-Sea for an Accounts Assistant.

The role entails (but is not limited to):

  • Processing invoicing and dealing with supplier queries.
  • Ensuring all invoices are paid on time and preparing post-sales invoicing.
  • Assisting with credit control where needed.
  • Daily reconciliations with the bank.
  • Assisting with payroll and all relating tasks.
  • Other tasks relevant to the financial management of the company.

A successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience using an accounting system such as Sage or Xero.
  • Experience working within an internal accounts department.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work alone and part of a team.

The salary for this position is set at £25,000 per annum
