We're currently seeking Teaching Assistants to work across a range of Primary, Secondary and SEND schools in the Chesterfield area. With full-time, part-time, and flexible day-to-day opportunities available, this is a perfect role for those seeking meaningful work that fits around their lifestyle.

About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you'll play a key part in creating positive, engaging learning experiences. You'll:

  • Support teachers in delivering lessons and maintaining a welcoming classroom environment

  • Motivate and encourage pupils to achieve their best

  • Help set up learning materials and resources

  • Monitor pupil engagement and progress

  • Support children individually or in small groups to enhance learning

Who We're Looking For

We welcome applicants from a variety of backgrounds, including:

  • Education, childcare, or youth work

  • Care, residential or support work

  • Sports coaching or community work

Formal qualifications aren't essential - what matters most is your enthusiasm, reliability, and passion for helping young people thrive.

You'll bring:

  • Strong communication and listening skills

  • A calm, patient and caring approach

  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff

  • A genuine interest in education and child development

(Please note: experience should be in a professional capacity rather than purely lived experience.)

Working Patterns Available
  • Full-Time: 8:30am - 3:30pm

  • Part-Time: Mornings (8:30am - 12:30pm) or Afternoons (12:30pm - 3:30pm)

  • Flexible/Day-to-Day: work that fits around your schedule

Age Ranges
  • Primary (4-11 years)

  • SEND (4-25 years)
