We are looking for a dedicated professional to join our friendly kitchen team working alongside our Head Chef and two other Sous Chefs to deliver exceptional food and service for our residents.
At our GOOD-rated Care Home, we believe that mealtimes are a highlight of the day. You'll help ensure every resident enjoys tasty, well-presented dishes that meet their individual dietary needs and preferences, supporting both their health and happiness.
What You'll Do
  • Work closely with the Head Chef to provide a high-quality dining experience that's responsive to residents' needs.
  • Present daily menus clearly so residents can easily choose their meals.
  • Prepare and serve meals that are nutritionally balanced, attractively presented, and meet dietary, medical, cultural, and personal preferences.
  • Adhere to all company HACCP, food hygiene, and safety standards, ensuring full compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and infection-control standards throughout kitchen and serving areas, following the Food Standards Act 1999.
  • Supervise and allocate duties to the kitchen team in the Head Chef's absence, ensuring consistent quality and service.
  • Motivate and support the team to maintain high culinary standards.
About You
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef, ideally within a care, healthcare, or hospitality environment.
  • A good understanding of dietary requirements and food safety standards.
  • Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.
  • A positive attitude and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • A genuine passion for delivering nutritious food with care and creativity.
What We Offer
  • A supportive and friendly working environment.
  • Competitive pay and regular working hours (no late nights).
  • Opportunities for professional growth and development.
  • The chance to make a meaningful impact every single day.
