They are now seeking a visionary Head of Compliance to join their leadership team - a forward-thinking leader who will inspire excellence, foster a culture of integrity, and drive the business toward sustained growth and success.
As Head of Compliance, you'll lead their functions to ensure their operations, assets and supply chain operations meet all legal and regulatory expectations. You'll set the compliance strategy, embed strong conduct standards across the operational lifecycle, and act as a trusted partner to the business and primary contact for the relevant parties.
In this senior compliance role, you will cover:
- General - H&S, data protection and GDPR, employment law
- Technical - Gas safe, FGAS, NICEIC, Solar
- ESG - B-Corp
- ISO - and 45001
- Asset management - fleet of 30 vehicles, building compliance for 1 office and 1 fabrication facility
- Accreditations - safe contractor, construction line and Avetta
Key Responsibilities include:
- Regulatory Management: Monitor and interpret legal, regulatory, and industry developments affecting the organisation, ensuring proactive compliance.
- Technical Compliance: Design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive compliance audit plan and supporting tools for all technical operations.
- Asset & Fleet Management: Coordinate asset and fleet compliance across the business, ensuring all vehicles, equipment, and buildings meet safety and regulatory standards.
- Inspections & Audits: Plan and conduct on-site inspections, engineer audits, and asset reviews to verify compliance and operational integrity.
- Policy Development: Lead the creation, implementation, and continuous improvement of compliance policies, procedures, and frameworks.
- Audit Coordination: Act as the lead coordinator for internal and external audits, ensuring consistency and readiness across all departments.
- Risk Management: Conduct risk assessments related to compliance, developing mitigation strategies to prevent breaches and improve resilience.
- Training & Development: Design and deliver compliance and regulatory training programs to enhance awareness and accountability across the business.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate effectively with internal teams, regulators, and external partners to strengthen compliance culture and practices.
- Executive Advisory: Provide expert advice and reports to the Board and Executive Team on compliance performance, emerging risks, and regulatory trends
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years' experience in a similar role (essential)
- IOSH or NEBOSH certification (essential).
- HND or Degree level qualification
- Strong background in compliance frameworks, audit processes, and regulatory management within technical or engineering environments.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional compliance initiatives and influence at board level.
