HGV Class 1 Driver - Days

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Goldthorpe area. We are looking for HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT C+E) to join the team on an ongoing basis.

Hours: Monday to Friday, start times between 04:00am and 06:00am

Pay Rates: 16.21 per hour PAYE or 18.17 per hour rolled up PAYE.

Location: Goldthorpe, Rotherham, S63.

Job Type: Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate.

The role:

Drive a Class 2 vehicle (curtainsider) for deliveries within Doncaster.

Multi-drop up to 12 drops per day, 10-12 hours per shift ensuring deliveries are made efficiently and safely.

Fork on Fork off on arrival

Strap and secure loads for safe transport.

Deliver goods to business-to-business and some residential addresses.

Ensure compliance with all road safety and company policies.

Ongoing role with the opportunity for a permanent position.

Requirements:

Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C+E).

Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.

Minimum of 1 years proven driving experience.

No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).

Ability to work independently and handle varied runs.

Full understanding of WTD legislation.
