We're partnering with a global biopharmaceutical organisation looking for a Production Technician (Purification) to join their team in Surrey. This role plays a key part in the large-scale purification of antigens used in vaccine production.
You'll work within a graded laboratory in the restricted area of the production plant, maintaining the highest standards of GMP, HSE, and biosecurity, while supporting cross-functional collaboration across teams. This position requires flexibility, including weekend shift cover.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture purified antigens efficiently and cost-effectively, meeting all GMP, HSE, and biosecurity requirements
- Operate and maintain process equipment in line with SOPs
- Perform in-process testing and record data accurately
- Document and report deviations or investigations in collaboration with QA
- Carry out aseptic manipulations of products
- Monitor plant and laboratory equipment data, taking corrective actions as required
- Work closely with other shift technicians to ensure seamless handovers
- Support weekend and holiday shift cover as needed
- Maintain a clean, compliant workspace and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
About You
- Experience in pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical manufacturing
- Understanding of GMP and working within a quality system
- Confident using IT systems and electronic documentation tools
- Proactive, adaptable, and able to work independently
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Detail-oriented, methodical, and safety-focused
