About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher to join our specialist school in Southwark, working with pupils aged 11-19 with Autism (ASC) and additional learning needs. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people, helping them develop both academically and socially in a supportive, structured environment.
We welcome applications from both experienced SEND teachers and mainstream teachers who are looking to transition into special education-full training and ongoing support will be provided.
What We Are Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS (Essential).
- A passion for working with young people with Autism (ASC) and complex needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
- A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach to teaching and learning.
- A commitment to promoting inclusion and independence for all learners.
- Willingness to undertake training in Autism-specific strategies and communication approaches (e.g., TEACCH, PECS, Makaton).
