Production Engineering Team Leader

Job Title: Production Team LeaderLocation: Bognor Regis

We are looking for a hands-on Production Team Leader with a strong engineering background to drive operational excellence in manufacturing, assembly, and fabrication. Your main focus will be process improvement, technical problem-solving, and efficiency, with people management as a supporting role.

• Lead and optimize manufacturing processes, assembly, and fabrication workflows.

• Implement and sustain Flow Cells, tooling setups, SOPs, and visual management.

• Drive lean manufacturing initiatives: Kaizen, 5S, SMED, TPM, and continuous improvement.

• Analyze production metrics to identify bottlenecks and implement engineering-based solutions.

• Support new product introductions and engineering changes.

• Oversee inventory control using Kanban and Pull systems.

• Coach a small team to follow technical processes and maintain operational standards.

• Degree or diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or equivalent).

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing, assembly, and fabrication.

• Experience with MRP/ERP systems (Sage preferred).

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

• Deep understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methods.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Leadership skills to support and guide a small team (secondary focus).
