About the Role

We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer (Turner) to join our dynamic Operations team. The successful candidate will produce high-quality precision-engineered components to exacting specifications, within strict production schedules and tight tolerances. Day shift

You will work with a variety of small to large components across the Oil & Gas, Aerospace, and Industrial Bronze sectors industries that demand excellence, precision, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set, operate, and programme CNC Turning and Mill-Turn machines to manufacture precision components to specification.
  • Work closely with supervisors and colleagues to meet agreed production timelines and quality standards.
  • Ensure all required documentation and production records are completed accurately.
  • Maintain high levels of safety, quality, and housekeeping within the work area.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and LEAN manufacturing activities.

Essential Skills & Knowledge

CNC Programmer (Turner)

  • Proven ability to set, operate, and programme CNC Turning and multi-axis machinery.
  • Strong understanding of fixtures, feeds and speeds, tooling, and machining safety.
  • Experience with FANUC, Okuma QSP-200L, ISO, or Mazatrol programming (preferred).
  • Experience with live tooling and multi-axis machining.
  • Knowledge of LEAN Manufacturing principles.
  • Familiarity with CMM inspection and measuring techniques (advantageous).
  • Experience using CAD/CAM systems such as SolidWorks or hyperMill (advantageous).

Experience & Qualifications

CNC Programmer (Turner)

  • Demonstrable experience operating CNC Turning and multi-axis machinery in a precision engineering environment.
  • Experience in high-compliance, tight-tolerance production environments (Oil & Gas, Aerospace preferred).
  • Skilled in the use of manual measuring equipment; CMM experience beneficial.
  • Knowledge of Victor, Hyundai, and Doosan machine tools advantageous.
  • Ideally apprentice-trained, holding a recognised engineering qualification (City & Guilds, HNC or equivalent).
