We are a leading UK environmental charity dedicated to protecting our ocean - defending crucial habitats, regenerating vital ecosystems and inspiring volunteers. We are currently looking for a Senior Trusts & Grants Manager to join us on a full-time, permanent basis, working 35 hours per week.

What You'll Be Doing

As the Senior Trusts & Grants Manager, you'll play a leading role in securing significant funding to protect and restore our ocean.

You'll cultivate high-value partnerships with key environmental funders and grant-makers, creating high-level opportunities to drive income growth and fund work across our critical impact areas of ocean regeneration, water quality, and sustainable ocean use.

Developing compelling, multi-year funding proposals, you'll collaborate closely with conservation, policy, and engagement teams to craft strong, evidence-based cases for support.

Alongside managing and growing relationships with existing funders, you'll proactively identify new grant-making opportunities and nurture partnerships that will drive our future growth and impact and keep funders connected to our cause.

Additionally, you will:

- Lead proposal development for complex, multi-year programmes with cross-team input
- Oversee stewardship of key donors
- Line manage and develop the Trusts & Grants Manager
- Contribute to income forecasting, strategic planning, and organisational fundraising initiatives

What You'll Bring

To be considered as our Senior Trusts & Grants Manager, you will need:

- A proven track record in cultivating high-value charitable trusts, foundations and grant-makers, developing sustained and positive relationships
- Excellent bid writing and case building skills to produce well written and compelling proposals and reports shaped to grant interests and criteria
- Strong and well-developed interpersonal and networking skills to build long-term relationships with our trusted partners
- Confidence with complex budget developments, project reporting and claims for multi-annual grants
- A wealth of knowledge regarding the trusts and grants sector in the UK, with a substantial understanding of the Fundraising Regulatory Code
- An eye for detail and a head for the future, with the ability to manage multiple complex bids and deadlines
- A collaborative spirit and being able to work brilliantly with others to make things happen
- Passion for protecting the natural world and engaging people in positive change

This role can be home-based in the UK, however, occasional travel to external meetings and events, and to other office locations, including Edinburgh and London, is expected and may require overnight stays.
