Yard Operative Night Shift

ROLE: Yard Operative
HOURS: Continental shifts 4 on, 4 off. 6pm - 6am
SALARY: £15.04 per hour plus £2.00 per hour night shift allowance

WHAT OUR YARD OPERATIVES DO:

• Safely load and unload lorries using appropriate equipment
• Ensuring materials are handled correctly and paperwork is completed accurately
• Scanning stillages in to and out of production
• Heat wrapping packs of Cavalok
• Maintain a clean, organised and hazard free yard environment, including designated storage areas and traffic routes
• Direct and control vehicle movements on site to ensure safe access and egress, prevent congestion, and maintain compliance with site traffic plans
• Cleaning off stillages before they go into production
• Operate machinery and tool safely and efficiently, reporting faults or maintenance needs promptly

WHAT WE NEED FROM OUR YARD OPERATIVES:

• Experience in a yard, warehouse or production environment (preferred)
• Valid Counter Balance and Combi license (required)
• Awareness of traffic management and vehicle safety procedures
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable, punctual and safety conscious
• Heavy lifting is a part of this role
