Location: Bristol
Salary: £38,000 £40,000 (DOE)
Hours: 37.5 per week

The Role

Working as part of the on-site Electrical engineering team, you ll take ownership of electrical inspection, testing and reporting across the campus estate. You ll liaise closely with the Electrical QS and ensure all inspection and testing documentation is completed accurately and in line with compliance standards.

This is a static, full-time position based on a large university campus with modern, technically advanced facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned inspection and testing of electrical systems across multiple buildings.

  • Complete reactive and remedial works following inspections, ensuring all tasks meet regulatory standards.

  • Deliver excellent customer service and maintain strong communication with the on-site support team.

  • Use initiative to diagnose complex issues and source parts, materials, or manufacturer support when needed.

  • Produce high-quality technical write-ups and reports for all works completed.

  • Ensure full compliance with health and safety procedures, including risk assessments for all tasks.

  • Provide out-of-hours cover on a rota basis when required.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience in electrical maintenance and testing, ideally within a building services or facilities environment.

  • C&G 2391 (or equivalent) Inspection & Testing

  • C&G th Edition

  • AM2 Qualified

  • Full UK Driving Licence

  • ECS/CSCS H&S Qualification

  • UKATA Asbestos Awareness
