HGV Class 2 Driver

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and excellent driving skills.

Responsibilities

Operate a lorry in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring compliance with all road regulations.
Transport goods to designated locations, ensuring timely delivery.
Load and unload cargo, securing it properly as necessary.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and functionality.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any incidents that occur during transport and driving hours.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Adhere to all company policies regarding health and safety procedures while on the road.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driving licence (CPC) with a clean driving record.
Experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
HIAB certified
Local knowledge beneficial

Working hours 07:00 to 16:00 Monday to Friday.
