We are looking for an experienced 7.5+ Driver or higher to join our expanding team, drivers must have their CPC licence. The Best Connection Hanger Lane are currently recruiting for 7.5 Tonne Drivers to join the team, working with John Lewis at their Park Royal location. As a 7.5 Tonne Driver, you'll be providing delivery and assembly services to John Lewis customers, ensuring a high standard of customer service and adherence to all safety protocols. BOTH TEMP TO PERM + STRAIGHT PERM OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE Salaries and Job information: TWO SHIFT PATTERNS : AM + PM AM INFO: Pay rates up to 41 hours a week - 17.99ph Overtime rates after 41 hours a week - 26.98ph Shift times - 06:00 to 17:00 PM INFO: Pay rates up to 41 hours a week - 18.55ph Overtime rates after 41 hours a week - 27.82ph Shift times - 10:30 to 21:30 Both roles are on a weekly rota BASED ON 4 OUT OF 6 DAYS IN A WEEK (MONDAY TO SATURDAY) What You'll Be Doing: Drive a 7.5-tonne vehicle to complete deliveries and installations, including heavy lifting (sofas, beds, white goods, etc.) Perform vehicle checks and defect reporting procedures before starting your route Call customers 30 minutes before arrival to ensure smooth deliveries Assemble and install products in customers' homes (TV wall mounts, appliances, furniture, etc.) Work alongside your colleague to complete deliveries, following best practices for safety and efficiency Mentor and support less experienced drivers and colleagues Ensure you are representing the John Lewis brand by maintaining a high level of professionalism Requirements: Valid UK C1 (7.5T) driving license Previous experience driving a 7.5-tonne vehicle preferred but not a necessary CPC card and Digital Tachograph Strong customer-facing communication skills (face-to-face and over the phone) Ability to perform physical tasks (lifting and moving large items) A clean driving record is preferred, but up to 6 points (with no DD, DR, DG or CD codes) will be accepted Previous experience in a customer service role is desirable Must be ok to work weekends (Roughly 3 out of 5 Saturdays) Benefits: Weekly pay via BACS (every Friday) 28 days holiday (PAYE) Personal PPE provided Access to pension (PAYE) John Lewis Partnership discount after completing the Earning Membership period Exclusive access to John Lewis & Waitrose staff benefits 24/7 emergency contact support The Best Connection is one of the UK's largest suppliers of professional agency drivers, with a nationwide network of branches and years of experience placing drivers in top companies like John Lewis.
