Surface Mount Technician- Waterlooville Are you skilled in operating and maintaining SMT equipment? Are you adept at working with fine pitch components? Our client, an organisation specialising in electronics manufacturing, is seeking a Surface Mount Technician to join their team. This is a temporary-to-permanent role with negotiable salary, offering an exciting opportunity for the right candidate. Main Responsibilities: Operate and maintain SMT Pick & Place machines, ensuring adherence to strict health and safety guidelines. Use screen-printing machines for efficient operations. Programme and set up P&P machines for optimal performance. Programme and maintain reflow ovens. Perform PCB assembly, including SMT and PTH soldering. Carry out cable assembly using crimp tools. Engage in electromechanical assembly. Work from customer BOM's and drawings to ensure manufacturing meets required standards. Conduct PCBA rework as needed. Experience / Skills / Qualifications: Essential ability to operate Pick & Place machines. Off-line programming experience with P&P machines (Juki etc.). Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills. Excellent component recognition and knowledge. Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment. The working hours for this role are Monday to Friday, from 08:00 to 16:00.
