Job Description

Join a small award-winning group of UK wide community pharmacies, that provide first-class services to local communities, and pride themselves on their high standards of care and services.

We're seeking a dedicated GPhC registered Pharmacist to join their team in Plymouth (PL6) on a permanent part-time basis, working 2-3 consecutive days per week.

This is a very busy store, dispensing approximately 23,000 items per month while offering a range of services such as DMS, flu vaccinations, and more. So, if you're seeking an energetic, fast-paced role within a thriving and well-staffed branch, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

Ideal requirements for the Pharmacist:

  • A member of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • A Master's degree in Pharmacy (MPharm) and completed pre-registration training.
  • Proven experience in leading and inspiring a team, with the ability to support and guide colleagues.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to explain complex and sensitive information clearly to both patients and healthcare professionals.
  • A genuine concern for patient welfare and a commitment to delivering the highest standards of care.

Role Responsibilities for the Pharmacist:

  • Safely dispense prescription medicines to patients, ensuring compliance with regulations and contractual obligations.
  • Review and interpret prescriptions, identifying potential errors or therapeutic incompatibilities to safeguard patient health.
  • Prepare, compound, package, and label medications with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Monitor drug therapies and provide clinical advice, making interventions where needed to optimise patient outcomes.
  • Lead and support the pharmacy team by organising technician workflows, verifying preparation and labelling of medicines, and checking order entries and inspections.
  • Act as a trusted source of knowledge, answering queries from healthcare professionals and counselling patients on their medicines and therapies.
