Health & Safety Coordinator - The Job Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you'll take ownership of
Health, Safety, and Fire Safety compliance across the site. You'll implement best-practice processes, lead audits and risk assessments, and guide the business toward
ISO 45001 certification. This is a hands-on role within a collaborative, supportive team where your work will have genuine impact.
Health & Safety Coordinator - Key Responsibilities - Develop, review, and implement Health, Safety, and Fire Safety policies and procedures in line with UK legislation (Health and Safety at Work Act, COSHH, PUWER, etc.)
- Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and inspections to identify and mitigate risks
- Lead incident investigations, analysing root causes and implementing corrective actions
- Design and deliver training programmes including inductions, refresher courses, and emergency drills
- Oversee fire safety compliance, ensuring equipment checks and evacuation procedures are maintained
Health & Safety Coordinator - The Fit - Qualification in Occupational Health & Safety (NEBOSH / IOSH or equivalent)
- Experience in a manufacturing H&S role (medical or healthcare advantageous)
- Strong understanding of UK H&S and Fire Safety legislation
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Competent in MS Office and H&S management systems
