Job Description

Job Title: Temporary Completion Administrator

Location: Burgess Hill

Working Hours: 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday

Pay: £14 to £15 per hour

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Temporary Completion Administrator to support our Client in the completions process. This role is critical in ensuring smooth and accurate handling of pre-completion, completion day, and post-completion formalities. You will work closely with Sarah Rowland and liaise with lenders, accounts, and external bodies such as HM Land Registry and HMRC.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Completion:

  • Liaise with lenders to obtain up-to-date redemption statements and completion figures.
  • Verify and reconcile financial data to ensure accuracy ahead of completion.
  • Prepare completion packs and ensure all documentation is in order.

Completion Day:

  • Coordinate with the accounts team to execute payments and transfers.
  • Monitor completion progress and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Confirm receipt of funds and completion status with relevant parties.

Post-Completion:

  • Submit applications to HM Land Registry and manage registration process.
  • Handle Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT) submissions and confirmations.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure all post-completion tasks are finalised.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in conveyancing or legal administration (preferred).
  • Strong communication skills, especially with lenders and financial teams.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines.
  • Familiarity with legal software systems (e.g. Actionstep) is an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
