Mot Tester

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented MOT Tester to join our team in Dunsfold Surrey. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of vehicles to ensure they meet safety and environmental standards. This Mot Tester role requires a strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with power and hand tools, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed. You will be the main Mot tester so experience is crucial, you may be asked to carry out some servicing work if things are quiet on the mot side.

Monday - Friday 08.00 - 18.00 NO WEEKENDS 1 HOUR LUNCH BREAK

Salary for the Mot tester role is £39,000 plus bonus giving an ote in excess of £43,000

3 WEEKS personal holiday plus all bank holidays

You must hold a full Uk driving licence and have tools

Duties

• Conduct MOT tests on a variety of vehicles, ensuring compliance with legal standards.
• Identify and diagnose vehicle faults, providing accurate reports on findings.
• Utilise power tools and hand tools effectively to perform necessary repairs
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding test results and any required repairs.
• Keep up-to-date with changes in legislation and testing procedures to ensure compliance.

Experience

• Proven mechanical knowledge is essential for diagnosing vehicle issues accurately.
• Experience using power tools and hand tools in a workshop environment
• Previous experience as an MOT Tester with a live Mot certificate
