At the Filton Plant, we are responsible for the manufacturing of A400M Wings and A350 Equipped Gear Beams. We also produce Additive Manufacturing parts and manage a variety of Research & Development packages of work. Our multifaceted industrial environment means you will gain experience working with a diverse range of teams, including Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance. What you will be doing: As a Plant Industrial Improvement intern at Filton Plant you will get exposure to: Production and Manufacturing; Plant performance data analytics; Continuous improvement; Business management ; Airbus Operating System standards; Environment, Health & Safety Improvement. Amongst others, you will be tasked with the following: Performance dashboard creation using data analytics; Supporting Business Reporting; Ad-hoc improvement project Management; Supporting Business Improvement Manager in daily activities. Requirements: Our placements are open to Undergraduates only . Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement. You will drive improvements in key areas such as Safety, Quality, Cost, and Environmental impact, as well as support the implementation of the Airbus Operating System (AOS). We are also responsible for securing Capital Expenditure (CapEx) investments, which are used to fund new and exciting projects that will drive our company into the future. You will build a network of key stakeholders in the business across a variety of operational areas and support functions. Key specific tasks in the role will include: Facilitating projects where funding has been secured to drive work content reduction and performance improvements; Supporting Financial Capex submissions process through the application of funding to back new and innovative ideas; Driving AOS continuous improvement initiatives; Supporting the Head of Department with planning & strategic activities; Supporting the management of Plant risks and opportunities.
