Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and kitchen management, with the ability to lead and inspire a team. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen, maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation. Duties Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and managing staff. Supervise food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency and quality. Train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food safety, and hygiene practices. Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and seasonal offerings. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times. Handle any customer complaints or special requests with professionalism. Qualifications Proven experience in a culinary role, preferably within a restaurant setting. Strong supervisory experience with demonstrated team management skills. In-depth knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods. Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations. Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on fostering a positive team environment. Previous experience in hospitality is highly desirable. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
