Job Title: Chef de Partie

Location: Hatfield

Salary: £30,000 - £31,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Hours:

Winter: Generally, 8:00am - 4:00pm (unless functions)

Summer: Hours may extend up to 10:30pm (depending on business needs)

Rota Basis: 7-day operation - 40 hours per week (any hours over 40 paid as additional holiday during winter.

About the Role:

My client is seeking a passionate and driven Chef de Partie to join a small, friendly team of four chefs, making you the fifth member of a close-knit, professional kitchen. This is a great opportunity for someone with 1-2 years' experience in a fast-paced kitchen who is looking to grow and develop within a supportive, well-established venue.

You'll play a key role in preparing quality dishes for their members, guests, and large functions, from casual dining and buffets to three-course event meals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook dishes to a consistently high standard across all menus.
• Assist with service for large functions, buffets, and events.
• Maintain excellent food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards always.
• Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in daily operations.
• Work efficiently under pressure and within a fast-paced environment.
• Take responsibility for your section, ensuring organisation and accuracy.
• Contribute ideas for menu development and specials.

About You:

• Previous experience as a Chef or Chef de Partie.
• Health & Safety and Food Hygiene Certificates required.
• Able to work independently and as part of a small, supportive team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Comfortable working under pressure and to deadlines.
• Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and evenings during busy periods.
