You'll play a key role in ensuring GCH maintains its G1 rating by delivering high-quality, efficient, and professional performance and assurance reporting, alongside managing our insurance and data protection arrangements.
In this role, you'll:
- Support the delivery of the internal audit plan, liaising with auditors and coordinating follow-up actions.
- Lead a programme of 2nd line assurance reviews, ensuring timely progress reporting to senior management, the Audit and Risk Committee, and the Board.
- Take ownership of insurance management, from renewals and claims handling to broker liaison.
- Promote strong Data Protection compliance across GCH, coordinating subject access requests and ensuring organisational risks are minimised.
- Keep colleagues informed with clear and engaging communication about governance activities and sector updates.
What we're looking for
You'll bring both expertise and enthusiasm to the role, along with:
- Evidence of Continuous Professional Development.
- Experience writing clear, insightful reports for Executive Teams and Boards.
- Strong knowledge of Data Protection and Compliance requirements.
- Experience within social housing regulation or a similar regulated environment.
- Solid understanding of insurance management, including claims and renewals.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills - you can engage, persuade, and build trust at every level.
