Following significant site investment, the business is now strengthening its operations leadership team by recruiting Shift Production Supervisors to support performance, people development, and continuous improvement across a busy 24/7 manufacturing site.

The Opportunity

As a Shift Production Supervisor, you'll lead a team of operators within a 24/7 production facility, ensuring all output, quality, and safety targets are consistently achieved.

You'll coordinate daily operations, monitor performance metrics, manage shift handovers, and drive improvements in efficiency, engagement, and housekeeping. The role offers an ideal balance between hands-on involvement and leadership responsibility - perfect for someone looking to take the next step in their career.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, motivate, and develop your shift team to achieve daily targets and maintain high safety and quality standards.

Oversee production operations and ensure efficient resource allocation.

Support planned maintenance and engineering activities to minimise downtime.

Deliver accurate handovers and performance reporting.

Foster a strong safety culture and ensure full compliance with site procedures.

Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

What You'll Bring

Proven experience supervising or leading teams in manufacturing, production, or industrial environments.

A background in high-volume or process-driven operations (e.g. construction materials, aggregates, packaging, FMCG, logistics).

Strong awareness of health and safety standards.

Hands-on approach with good communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.

IT literacy (Excel, Word, production reporting tools).

Desirable:

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent technical qualification.

IOSH, SSSTS, or similar safety certificate.

Experience with automated or semi-automated plant machinery.
