Are you a Compliance or Quality professional looking for a role that blends sustainability, quality management, and continuous improvement?

We're looking for a Compliance Manager to join a leading manufacturing business within the building products sector, offering a varied and rewarding role focused on driving quality, environmental responsibility, and operational excellence.

The role:

As Compliance Manager, you'll play a key part in maintaining and improving the company's Quality Management System while driving sustainability and compliance initiatives. You'll lead internal audits, manage customer and supplier complaints, and work on projects to reduce the company's carbon footprint.

You'll also be involved in reviewing and optimising processes, improving quality performance, and ensuring best practices in health, safety, and environmental standards across the business.

Key responsibilities:
  • Conduct internal audits and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Lead sustainability and carbon reduction projects
  • Manage customer and supplier complaints and quality claims
  • Support quality improvement initiatives across manufacturing processes
  • Monitor and report on energy usage and environmental data
  • Oversee packaging waste reporting, submissions, and recovery note applications
  • Liaise with suppliers and customers to maintain compliance and resolve issues
  • Conduct benchmarking and continuous improvement exercises
  • Support training, development, and communication across teams
  • Ensure adherence to Health & Safety and environmental standards
What we're looking for:
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (minimum 2 years)
  • Knowledge of quality systems, auditing, or compliance management
  • A passion for sustainability and environmental improvement
  • Strong communication, organisational, and analytical skills
  • Confident using data and reporting systems (Excel and similar tools)
  • A-Level or Degree educated (ILM Level 3-5 desirable)
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to visit suppliers
