Shifts: Working four days between Monday and Saturday, including a mixture of early and late shifts: Early: 06:00 - 16:30 Late: 11:00 - 21:30 Rates of Pay: £12.30 per hour Benefits: Weekly pay Overtime available Free on-site parking Opportunity to go permanent Day-to-Day Duties: As a Production Operative, your duties will include (but not be limited to): Receiving, sorting, and inspecting raw meat products Trimming, cutting, deboning, or portioning meat according to specifications Operating cutting tools, knives, and meat processing machinery safely Using equipment such as mincers, slicers, and grinders Setting up and adjusting machines for production runs Monitoring machine performance and reporting any issues Performing manual work and heavy lifting (placing raw products into mixers) Working safely and competently with production equipment Following all relevant work instructions and health and safety procedures Working to the HACCP programme, accurately recording checks and results Ensuring all products meet quality standards and taking corrective actions where required Maintaining a clean and tidy working area Conducting cleaning tasks according to specifications and schedules Essential Skills: To be successful as a Production Operative, you will need: Basic level of English (spoken and written) Reliability and punctuality Good communication skills Ability to work well as part of a team Positive and proactive attitude Willingness to work with raw meat products Ability to travel to site for 06:00 starts when on early shifts Desirable Experience: Previous production or food processing experience Training Provided: Full training will be provided, with ongoing support throughout.
