No previous experience required as we provide full training. We are looking for a careful warehouse forklift driver to move packages and material around our facilities. You will be operating a forklift with the utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety. Your job could involve driving around warehouse, storage spaces and other facilities. You must be a responsible individual with great experience in driving industrial vehicles. The goal will be to ensure that material and products will always be at the right place to achieve maximum efficiency. Key Accountabilities: Operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Reach truck, Counterbalance and PPT safely and in accordance with operational procedures. Accurately pick, pack, and distribute all orders for both Wasabi Branches and Wasabi Groceries. Manage and process pick ticket orders efficiently. Apply the First-In-First-Out (FIFO) method when picking and organising stock to ensure freshness and rotation. Maintain and uphold all Food Safety and Health & Safety standards, cooperating fully with Wasabi in these matters. Take personal responsibility for your own health, safety, and welfare during all activities. Report incidents immediately and raise any health and safety concerns to your Line Manager. Identify and resolve basic operational issues, escalating to the Warehouse Team Leader when necessary. Ensure full compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company instructions. Coordinate the receipt and dispatch of inbound and outbound goods to meet customer requirements. Update inventory systems accurately to reflect stock movements and maintain reliable stock records. Support general warehouse operations, including loading/unloading vehicles, QC tasks, picking stock orders, palletizing, and performing other manual handling tasks as required. Monitor, record, and report product temperatures and shelf life to maintain quality and traceability standards. Keep all warehouse areas clean, organised, and compliant with hygiene and safety standards. Shrink-wrap products and apply relevant identification labels to pallets as necessary. Conduct routine equipment checks and promptly report any faults or maintenance needs to the Warehouse Team Leader. Handle the full range of Wasabi products, which may include alcohol, pork, beef, and other animal products. Ensure personal compliance with PPE, hygiene, and food safety standards at all times. Oversee stock replenishment to ensure product availability for picking and production supermarkets. Meet despatch and productivity targets consistently. Work efficiently in chilled environments (0 5 C) while maintaining comfort and safety. Demonstrate flexibility to work varied shifts and overtime as required. Minimise wastage through effective stacking and storage practices. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in accordance with company cleaning procedures. Participate in ad hoc projects or assignments as required. Our Requirements: Proven experience working in a warehouse and stock picking or similar environment, preferably in the food industry. GCSE - Maths & English or equivalent. Basic computer skills MHE Licence - Counterbalance at a minimum Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems. Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to warehouse operations. Proficient in using warehouse equipment such as PPT and pallet jacks (relevant certification is a plus). Good organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Previous experience working with BRC compliance and understanding of Manual Handling. Demonstrate physical stamina to stand, walk, lift, and carry items throughout the shift Prepare product for deliveries, picking orders, packing and resolving any dispatch problems.
