This role is responsible for enabling high-performing teams to deliver complex, integrated solutions.Responsibilities will include:
  • Setting the strategic direction for systems engineering, ensuring consistent, data-driven practices across all projects.
  • Overseeing requirements capture, analysis, and validation to ensure robust traceability through the engineering lifecycle.
  • Leading the development and implementation of verification and validation strategies to maintain integrity.
  • Act as an authority on systems assurance, supporting project-level decision making and stakeholder confidence in system integrity.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing systems engineering team, centred on continuous improvement, professional development, technical excellence, and knowledge sharing.
  • Driving cross-disciplinary collaboration to achieve seamless integration between system elements.
  • Managing a team of 7 Systems Engineers with scope to grow
Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Degree in Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline.
  • Proven leadership experience delivering complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Proven experience throughout the design, development, and testing stages of defence platforms.
  • Systems engineering experience in the context of safety-critical systems.
  • Proficient in model-based systems engineering and confident applying structured, data-driven methods.
