Job Description

We are currently looking for a Deputy Chief Engineer to oversee and support our clients System Engineering department in the south of the UK, providing expertise and operational advice for their key projects and cutting-edge military technology. You will play a key part in their Integrated Product Team, technically contributing towards overall performance and exceeding expectations for system solutions.

For a role of this seniority, you can expect the following responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Chief Engineer and act as a Deputy for related to Technology Team tasks and programmes,
  • Help manage the Company/Technology Team ISO9001 Quality Process,
  • Drive and contribute to technical solutions in support projects, programmes and bids,
  • Review and provide technical guidance and advice to the Technology Team,
  • Team coordination, allocation of resources and priorities,
  • Review and approval of Technical Team documentation.

In order to consider your application, you preferably will have the following experience:

  • Demonstrable track record of technical delivery.
  • Significant experience of working within a Systems Engineering environment and/or team through full lifecycle,
  • Familiarity with computer network and systems configuration,
  • Good awareness of aerospace and defence industries, markets, products and technologies,
  • Significant experience with the product lifecycle from system requirements, architecture, design, integration, qualification, verification, through to production and support.
