Senior Ecologist - Bristol (Hybrid Working)

Our client, a leading environmental and infrastructure consultancy, is seeking an experienced Senior Ecologist to join their growing team in Bristol. This is a fantastic opportunity to take a leading role on a variety of ecological projects across infrastructure, utilities, and development sectors.
Plan, manage, and deliver ecological surveys and assessments, including Phase 1/UKHab, protected species, and habitat assessments.
Prepare, review, and contribute to high-quality ecological reports and Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs).
Provide expert ecological advice to clients and project teams, ensuring compliance with UK wildlife legislation and best practice.
Lead and mentor junior ecologists, supporting professional development and team growth.
Liaise with regulators, local authorities, and stakeholders to support project delivery.
Degree (or equivalent) in Ecology, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
Significant experience in ecological consultancy, including project management and report writing.
Strong understanding of UK environmental legislation and policy.
Membership (or eligibility for membership) of CIEEM.
Protected species licence(s) desirable.
Excellent communication skills and ability to lead fieldwork.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel for site work.
Salary: 30,000 - 40,000 DOE.
