Management Staff Consultants
Graduate Trainee Chartered Accountant
Management Staff Consultants Jersey, Channel Isles
A requirement has arisen for a graduate with a degree in Accountancy, or a similar, numerical discipline to join an accounting practice to train as a chartered accountant (ACA) with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales starting in August. This requirement has arisen with one of our clients, a prestigious firm of accountants in the Channel Islands, which are tax havens in the English Channel. The Channel Islands (Jersey and Guernsey, principally) are Crown Dependencies close to the north coast of France and, although they are British, are not part of the UK. They have their own governments and immigration as well as a milder climate than mainland Britain. They are major financial centres with very strong financial services sectors including international banks, fiduciary companies, trust companies etc. The experience to be gained as a trainee ACA is equivalent to that offered in London, Edinburgh, Leeds etc. A highly-competitive salary is on offer. Our clients are looking for graduates with first-class or upper-second class honours degrees in Accounting, or a similar, numerate subject to train as accountants. In this role, you will gain a strong grounding in preparing accounts from basic records before moving on to more complex accounting, auditing, tax and business advisory work. This experience is invaluable in developing well rounded, highly competent accountants with a broad range of experience. You will be trained in professional accounting practice and your professional accounting training expenses will be covered as part of your training contract. You must be prepared to work offshore in the Channel Islands. You are required to hold UK or Irish nationality. Interviews will start very soon. Don't miss the rush!
