Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and reliable Truck Driver (Tramper) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods, primarily using flatbed, containers and Lowloader lorries. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and delivering high-quality service across various locations. Candidates must possess a valid driving licence and relevant experience in commercial driving to ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.

Duties

Operate flatbed lorries to transport goods to designated locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Load and unload cargo safely, ensuring items are secured properly during transit.
Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules while minimising fuel consumption and travel time.
Follow movement orders.
Oversee loading and unloading of containers.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, including delivery notes and logs.
Communicate effectively with customers regarding schedules, delays, or issues encountered during transit.
Experience
Proven experience in commercial driving, with a focus on flatbed transportation preferred.
Delivery driver experience is highly desirable, demonstrating familiarity with route planning and customer service.
Valid UK driving licence suitable for heavy goods vehicles (HGV) or equivalent certification.
Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for secure cargo handling.
Experience in operating flatbed vehicles safely and efficiently is an advantage, along with a good understanding of vehicle maintenance routines. This role is ideal for motivated individuals committed to delivering exceptional service while maintaining the highest safety standards on the road.

Pay: £15.00 per hour
