Head of Risk - UK Government Contract

The contract runs for 12 months, pays up to 950/day (Inside IR35) and implies weekly visits to Aberdeen or Edinburgh.

About the assignment:Leading the development and implementation of an enterprise-wide risk management framework, with a strong emphasis on financial and investment risk. This is a critical role in a newly established organisation, requiring someone who can build risk capability from the ground up and ensure robust governance across investment activities

Experience:

• Extensive experience in financial risk management within investment banking, infrastructure finance, or public investment institutions.
• Expertise in credit risk, market risk, and portfolio risk modelling.
• Strong knowledge of UK regulatory frameworks and public-private investment structures.
• Professional qualifications such as RM, CFA, or PRM.
• Ideally experience across sectors such as renewable energy or infrastructure
