The Opportunity In this senior position, you'll own the mechanical design of advanced rotating equipment and high-temperature static structures. You'll define design requirements, drive design standards, and help shape engineering processes for a new era of industrial machinery. Key Responsibilities Lead mechanical design activities for complex turbomachinery components Produce detailed product definition using Siemens NX & Teamcenter PLM Carry out and oversee 1D calculations , 2D analysis , and 3D FEA (thermal, structural, modal, fatigue) Review and approve design work from other engineers Define subsystem requirements and ensure robust mechanical architecture Improve engineering tools, design methods, and best practices Present updates to senior stakeholders and mentor junior engineers Ensure compliance with BS, ASME, API, ISO and other relevant standards What You'll Bring 7+ years' experience in mechanical design Strong background in turbomachinery and/or high-temperature structural components Expertise in high-temperature alloys (nickel-based, stainless steels, etc.) Thermo-mechanical design experience, including fatigue and life assessment First-principles approach with strong analytical capability Proficiency in Siemens NX & Teamcenter PLM Strong communication and technical reporting skills Beneficial: Degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering (higher degree preferred) Chartered Engineer or working towards it Experience in fast-paced R&D or developing emerging technologies Python or similar coding for workflow automation Why Join?
