About the Project Planner role As our new Project Planner you will support the Senior Project Manager in the delivery of our project portfolio for an important and high profile customer in the defence sector. You ll utilise gate style methodology to plan and execute projects which will typically focus on the manufacturing of QA Graded parts, timeline to quote Critical Spares and new machinery implementation projects and Site initiative projects. This role will work hand in hand with the senior project manager, being a critical support for Hayley and the customer to achieve excellent results. This role supports a major customer account for the business and provides excellent experience and exposure. The successful candidate will be detailed orientated in the planning administration and governance of projects. You ll ideally have some experience of project management software along with Agile methodology. We are happy to consider candidates from a range of sectors similar to what we do here from MRO, Manufacturing, Automotive, Rail and Defence. Working Hours: 40 hours per week Monday to Friday. This is a site-based role in Derby. Key responsibilities as our Project Planner Support in the administration of project management Support with project governance and processes. Deliver an end-to-end service Act as a key client interface Building relationships across the branch network, providing technical expertise, knowledge and assistance. Be visible to clients, building customer relationships and managing customer expectations. Collaborating with the wider team. What we're looking for in our Project Planner Experience of working in an engineering / technical environment. Customer-focused, driven to provide consistently high levels of service. Ability to identify and solve technical challenges for customers. Pro-active, enthusiastic, keen, and willing to learn. Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Project Management software packages i.e. MS project, P6, Wrike etc Strong level of communication and numerical skills. Strong collaboration and networking skills. What you ll get in return Attractive salary to commensurate experience.
