Mechanical Estimator (M&E)

Reports to:Mechanical Estimating Manager

Were partnering with a leading building services contractor to hire aMechanical Estimatorinto a high-performing Pre-Contract team. Youll produce robust tenders and cost plans, collaborate across the supply chain, and help win flagship projects in residential, PBSA and hospitality.

• Produce detailedtender bidsandcost planswith accuracy and pace

• Manage the day-to-daytender process, maintaining standards and hitting deadlines

• Attendmid/post-tender meetingsand leadpost-tender controlactions

• Interface with existing and prospective clientsbuilding trust and credibility

• Engage withsub-contractors and suppliers: issue enquiries, assess returns, and develop new leads

• Work closely with the widerM&Eteam; while mechanically biased, apply a solid understanding of associatedelectricalservices

• Maintain impeccable documentation via electronic control systems

• Proactive, approachable style; youlead by exampleand communicate clearly

• Comprehensive technical knowledge ofMechanical Building Services

• Commercial acumen to ensure tenders arefinancially sound

• Widesupplier/sub-contractorknowledge and market awareness

• Comfortable with e-tendering platforms:issuing enquiriesandupdating documents

• Trimble Estimationexperience (or similar) and strong general IT skills

• Thorough, efficient, and flexible around deadlines
