Requirements Experience Apprentice trained with a minimum of City & Guilds (C&G) NVQ Level 3 qualification in an appropriate discipline, plus at least 1 year of relevant experience; or Industry-recognised training with a minimum of 2 years' experience working as part of a team on an Electricity Supply Industry (ESI) construction site or similar environment (e.g., Power Generation, Oil & Gas, or General Construction sites). Experienced in participating in site activities involving mechanical and/or electrical installation. Knowledge of and ability to comply with, and monitor, Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental (HSQE) legislation, standards, and practices within a power industry environment. Demonstrates the presence, attitude, and personal qualities required to effectively lead site teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting out and surveying activities across a range of civil engineering and electrical infrastructure works associated with the delivery of a new BESS facility and substation development. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with previous experience on National Grid, DNO, renewable energy, power transmission or heavy civil engineering projects. Roles & Responsibilities: Carry out accurate setting out for foundations, structures, drainage, duct routes, cable trenches and associated civils works. Establish and maintain site control points and survey networks. Produce and maintain as-built surveys and records. Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and construction information.
