Solutions/Sales Engineer
Raycast
Raycast makes it simple, fast, and delightful to control your tools. We're seeking our first commercial teammate to help shape the foundation of our enterprise motion. This is not a traditional sales role. We need a hybrid operator who blends product-thinking, technical curiosity, and early go-to-market building to support our growing base of technical users and organisations. Raycast started as a native Mac application with a significant focus on top-notch UI and interactions, and we've since expanded to iOS and Windows. We genuinely care about user experience, performance, privacy and ease of use across platforms. We have had enough of dealing with slow and clunky tools. Raycast is our attempt to let you enjoy your daily workflows without all the distractions. Having established Raycast on macOS and expanded to new platforms, we're now seeing strong organic adoption within engineering teams and technical organisations. Individual users love Raycast, and increasingly, entire companies want to adopt it. We need someone to help us understand these patterns, support technical evaluations, navigate security and procurement processes, and build the early foundations of our enterprise motion, all while respecting the product-led, engineering-first culture that defines us. For this, we are seeking a Commercial Operator who will be the cornerstone of our interactions with technical buyers and enterprise users. You will be responsible for managing inbound interest, running thoughtful discovery, supporting security reviews, identifying usage patterns in large accounts, and partnering closely with our CEO and Head of Business Operations to shape our early GTM approach. We need someone who thrives in ambiguity, values clear communication, enjoys talking to engineers, and is committed to building rather than executing a playbook. We're a fully remote company spread across Europe and looking for candidates based in the EU or UK. This position is for a full-time employment. In this role you will Manage and qualify inbound from technical users and organisations. You'll be the primary point of contact for companies exploring Raycast for their teams. You'll run structured discovery calls, understand their workflows, and identify how Raycast fits into their environment. Navigate security, compliance, and procurement processes. You'll support organisations through vendor assessments, IT evaluations, and internal approval cycles. You'll partner with the Head of Business Operations to coordinate with engineering on technical questions and ensure smooth evaluations. Identify and map usage patterns in large accounts. You'll spot clusters of adoption within organisations, understand who the champions are, and help turn organic usage into structured rollouts. Build early GTM foundations. You'll create lightweight processes for discovery, qualification, and enterprise engagement. You'll document what works, identify ICP patterns, and help shape the repeatable parts of our commercial motion. Partner closely with leadership and cross-functional teams. You'll work alongside the CEO and Head of Business Operations to take over the repeatable parts of inbound, allowing them to focus on deeper projects and strategic conversations. You'll own the relationships with champions, technical evaluators, and key stakeholders throughout the evaluation and adoption process. You'll also collaborate to improve enterprise readiness and gather valuable feedback from technical buyers. Support technical evaluations and product workshops. You'll help teams of all technical backgrounds understand Raycast's capabilities, navigate AI features, extensions, admin controls, and security settings, and ensure they get the most value from the product. You will be a great fit if You have experience in PLG or developer tools environments. You've worked at companies like Notion, Vercel, Figma, Linear, Sourcegraph, Replit, Airtable, or similar product-led, technical tools. You understand how adoption starts with individual users and grows into enterprise accounts. You possess strong technical curiosity. You don't need to write code, but you can discuss AI features, integrations, APIs, data flow, permissions, security settings, and how Raycast is actually used day-to-day. You enjoy geeking out about tools, productivity, and developer workflows. You excel at discovery and thoughtful communication. You ask open, insightful questions rather than pitching. You can navigate messy internal customer environments and sound more like a trusted advisor than a salesperson. You're comfortable talking to engineers, platform teams, and IT and security teams. You're a builder, not a playbook executor. You thrive in ambiguity and enjoy creating order from scratch. You're comfortable owning many hats, from inbound qualification to security reviews to documenting the sales motion, and you don't need defined processes or structures to be effective. You're collaborative and low ego. You work well with engineering, product, and operations teams. You respect Raycast's engineering-first culture and fit with our tone: humble, precise, thoughtful. Pushy commercial approaches are not your style. You're an excellent writer and communicator. You can convey technical concepts clearly to audiences of varying technical backgrounds, and you document your work in a way that helps others learn and build on it. You're proactive and organised. In a fast-moving environment, you can quickly learn new tools, improve processes, and take ownership of issues without hand-holding. Nice to have: Background in solutions engineering, sales engineering, or hybrid product roles Experience supporting security and procurement cycles Experience documenting or shaping early GTM motions at a startup You're already a Raycast user (or will quickly become one) Why join us? You'll be the first. This is a rare opportunity to be the founding commercial hire at a company with strong product-market fit, a passionate user base, and growing enterprise interest. You'll have a major impact on how we grow and scale our business. We're backed by great investors. We're backed by Atomico, Accel, Coatue, Y Combinator, Atlassian Ventures, Chapter One and angels such as Charlie Cheever (Co-Founder of Expo & Quora), Calvin French-Owen (Co-Founder of Segment), Zach Holman (Early GitHub engineer), Koen Bok (Framer, CEO), Karri Saarinen (CEO, Linear) and many more. We're individual contributors at heart. We value full ownership and responsibility, choose quality over quantity and put our users first. We're motivated by shipping truly great software and supporting the people who use it. We'll treat you well. Get a competitive salary, stock options and health insurance. Plus, we provide a monthly health benefit for a gym, pay for your co-working space, give you the latest MacBook Pro with a 5K display and accessories, and provide flexible paid-time off (PTO) plus all your national holidays.
