Quantity Surveyor - Where Your Expertise Truly Matters

Be recognised. Be valued. Build with purpose.

At Building Construction Partnership (BCP), we've been shaping exceptional care homes for over 25 years, delivering tailored, high-quality builds that make a difference to people's lives. Our clients trust us time and time again because we listen, we adapt, and we deliver. With a strong order book and a turnover of £10m, we're now entering an exciting phase of growth, and we're looking for an ambitious Quantity Surveyor to join our close-knit team in Wakefield.

This is your chance to step into a role where your voice is heard, your work is appreciated, and your impact is visible from day one.

The Role

As a Quantity Surveyor at BCP, you'll take full ownership of one large-scale new build project (typically £10-15m) from concept to completion. You'll handle cost management, forecasting, and subcontractor relationships, ensuring the project stays on track financially and operationally.

You'll be a key part of our management team, working directly with the business owners in a supportive environment where collaboration and respect drive every decision.

  • Lead the commercial management of high-value new build care home projects
  • Oversee cost control, cashflow, valuations, and forecasting
  • Appoint and manage subcontractors, ensuring strong commercial performance
  • Work closely with site teams, suppliers, and clients to deliver excellence
  • Based in Wakefield, with site visits nationwide once or twice a month
  • 40-hour week, with flexibility for hybrid working

Who We're Looking For

  • Experienced Quantity Surveyor from residential or commercial construction
  • Confident managing projects from inception to completion
  • Strong communicator who thrives in a collaborative, hands-on environment
  • Looking for autonomy, trust, and long-term progression, not just another job
  • Based within commuting distance of Wakefield
  • (We'll also consider a motivated Graduate with the right attitude and drive to learn, who we can develop)

Why BCP?

You'll be part of a small, respected team where your contribution really counts

You'll work on meaningful projects that enhance communities

You'll enjoy direct involvement with senior management - no red tape, no layers of bureaucracy

You'll have stability, progression, and genuine recognition

If you're ready to step into a role where you're more than just a number, and your work makes a tangible difference, we'd love to hear from you.
