We re recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing company based in Brierley Hill who are looking for an experienced Information Technology & Operations Specialist. This role is key to driving continuous improvement across warehouse operations through the effective use of IT systems and digital tools with a focus on improving accuracy, speed, and cost efficiency to support long-term business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
Streamline daily warehouse activities (inventory management, shipping, receiving, and order fulfilment) through the use of IT and process improvement.
Implement best practices to enhance safety, accuracy, and operational efficiency.
Analyse operational data to identify areas for cost reduction and opportunities for digital transformation.
Monitor and report on key KPIs such as inventory accuracy, order cycle time, and perpetual inventory performance.
Manage consumables and oversee maintenance of warehouse equipment (e.g. forklifts, conveyors, scanners).
IT & Infrastructure Support
Provide day-to-day support for IT hardware and systems used in both warehouse and office environments (barcode scanners, printers, networks, telecommunications, etc.).
Liaise with external IT vendors for system maintenance and troubleshooting.
Be available for out-of-hours support in emergencies or planned maintenance.
Track and maintain IT assets and infrastructure, including the company phone system (Mitel).
Maintain and regularly update the company s business continuity plans.
Ensure compliance with GDPR and manage data protection processes.
ERP Management (Syspro)
Act as the first line of internal support for Syspro ERP issues.
Train and support staff across departments to maximise use of Syspro functionality.
Generate reports and analyse data within Syspro to support business decisions.
Key Skills & Experience Required
Minimum 5 years experience in management within a manufacturing or logistics environment.
Proven background in applying IT systems to improve operational performance.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Project management and planning experience.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Experience in change management and people management.
Proficiency in data analytics and dashboard reporting.
Hands-on experience with Syspro (or a similar ERP system) highly desirable.
