Class 2 Service Technician As a key worker working in our Healthcare Division, you play a key part in the success of phs. To our customers, you are the face of the company. A day in the life of a Service Technician at phs will involve; You will follow planned routes, using PDA devices to confirm collections, manage any site access issues. You will be using Soft Compaction Vehicles, designed specifically for the service we provide which are like refuge collection vehicle. Emptying/Collecting Euro Bins containing offensive waste Supporting Covid testing stations by collecting sealed waste Completing hazardous Consignment notes/Transfer notes. Returning to your allocated depot every day to empty the waste from the vehicle that was collected. The ideal candidate for a Service Technician role at phs will: Safety and legal compliance are a must. We welcome applications from people with a good safety record. Essential qualifications are a Category C (LGV Class 2) license, current Driver CPC card and a valid Digital Tachograph Card. To be eligible for this role you will have held a full driving license for at least 12 months and, have attained the appropriate LGV Cat C License. About the role: This is a pilot project for Advance working with women with complex needs related to their involvement with the criminal justice system. As the Complex Needs & Outreach Worker you will provide intensive, trauma-informed support to women experiencing multiple and intersecting vulnerabilities, including homelessness, domestic and sexual violence, mental health challenges, substance misuse, and social exclusion. Working flexibly across outreach and community settings, you will focus on building trusting relationships with women who may be disengaged from or distrustful of services, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are addressed holistically. You will be based primarily at Folkestone Probation Office, with up to two days per week spent providing outreach support in the community. This position involves close collaboration with the Folkestone Women's Pod to identify women who require intensive support. A car may be desirable for this role, though not essential. About You: To be successful as the Complex Needs & Outreach Worker you will need the below experience and skills: You will be highly empathetic, able to listen without judgement, and emotionally resilient when supporting women who have experienced significant trauma and adversity. The role requires tenacity and persistence, maintaining consistent engagement with clients who may have chaotic circumstances or face barriers to accessing support. You will advocate on behalf of clients, coordinate multi-agency responses, and support women to access safe accommodation, health services, safeguarding support, and pathways to recovery and independence. The Role The Senior Accommodation Support Worker will be based within domestic abuse accommodation services but may be required to support other accommodation-based services where necessary. This is both a leadership and frontline role. You will supervise intervention/support workers (non-case holding), oversee the quality of support delivered to residents and their children, and ensure a safe, empathetic and empowering environment that promotes independence and recovery. You will also ensure contractual targets and KPIs are met while maintaining high standards of safeguarding, health & safety and service delivery.
