Thrive Oldham are recruiting on behalf of our well established client in the Wrexham area FLT drivers Job Accountability Working hours are 21:50pm - 06:00am Sunday to Thursday - 5 nights Meet all health and safety needs of business All FLT drivers shall be certificated by a recognised ITSSAR/RTITB approved training course and be in possession of a valid Certificate. Before commencing any FLT work each driver shall complete a check sheet to verify that the FLT is in a sound and usable condition. This sheet must be retained for reference. Any damage found to the FLT shall be noted on the check sheet and reported by the driver to the supervisor to organise repair. The FLT driver must not use the truck until authorised to do so. FLT drivers must not operate any FLT if their physical ability is impaired through injury or ill health or when taking medication which may impair their judgement. If in doubt, seek clarification from the Plant Manager FLT drivers must always wear the seat or kidney belt when operating the FLT. In the unlikely event of a truck rolling the driver should remain in the cab keeping both hands on the wheel until stationary. Mobile phones should not be used when operating the truck. Drivers need to remain focused and alert to yard vehicle movements at all times when operating the FLT. Practice good health and safety actions at all times Follow all Safe Systems of Work and complete all written, quality checks as required. Identify near miss or hazards in work place and pass on to supervision. Maintain good housekeeping standard at all times. This is a hands-on leadership role with full ownership of logistics operations across your shift. We are currently searching for professional and reliable HGV drivers who are energetic, personable, and safe to join us as we expand our operations with one of our key clients. We are freight partners to the fastest growing online retailer in the world and a global player in e-commerce industry who expect the highest standards of employee treatment hence, we provide a safe, fair, and inclusive environment for our drivers. We provide the truck, but you should have a clean driving record and driving licence. Drivers will generally work a 12 hour shift pattern including day/night shifts, but occasional extended hours and weekend hours may be necessary, especially around holidays. We remain focused on our clients needs and know that only with a professional team of HGV Drivers would we be able to achieve this goal. Benefits: Salary: £41,600 (gross) / month + £25 night out allowance + extras night shift etc. 28 days paid holiday + company pension. Free on-site parking Paid parking on night out Weekly pay Documents/experience/requirements: Hold a valid C+E license, Driver CPC Card (or DQC Card) Understand and comply to tachograph and driver hours regulations Minimum 6 months HGV 1 Driving Experience. Digital Tachograph card. Driver qualification card. Knowledge and understanding of the driving regulations in the UK. Clean Driving licence. Be flexible to work 60hr weeks Pass a background check (below) to the extend it is permitted by the applicable law Pass a standard drug and alcohol test (below) to the extend it is permitted by the applicable law Be able to speak & read English satisfactorily No more than a maximum of 6 penalty points in the Driver s License (as well as no DD, DR or IN endorsements) Approved drivers consist of drivers with BGC results as Meets Requirements and drug and alcohol tests with negative results. Comfortable with Mobile Phone applications (training will be provided if required) We offer you: 5 Days per Week Shifts (4 nights out) Perform Tramping work Driving only from fulfilment centre to fulfilment centre Work variable shifts (12 hours shifts) 11hr Daily Rest on most days.
