Senior Audio & PAVA Systems Engineer UK Hybrid Travel Required We are recruiting for a Senior Audio & PAVA Systems Engineer specialising in Public Address and Voice Alarm systems to support complex, safety critical AV integration projects across the UK. This role sits within a global systems integration environment delivering large scale, high reliability installations across commercial, entertainment and public environments. The focus is on designing and supporting resilient, compliant, and fault tolerant audio and life safety solutions that perform when it matters most. This is a senior technical role spanning pre sales, detailed design, commissioning support, and lifecycle service. You will act as a subject matter expert in PAVA and safety critical audio systems, working within established technical frameworks alongside senior solution architects. The role You will contribute specialist expertise to the design and delivery of Public Address and Voice Alarm systems, ensuring compliance, redundancy and operational resilience are built into every stage of the project lifecycle. From early bid support through to commissioning and in service technical escalation, you will play a key role in maintaining design intent, regulatory compliance, and technical consistency. Key responsibilities Provide technical input during pre sales for PAVA and life safety audio projects Support system design including schematics, signal flow, rack layouts and documentation Contribute to programming, configuration, testing and commissioning preparation Support on site commissioning and technical handover Act as escalation point for complex audio and voice alarm system issues Support lifecycle reviews, upgrades and obsolescence planning Ensure compliance with EN 54 and relevant life safety standards Collaborate closely with architects, project managers, engineers and service teams What we are looking for 5 plus years experience in technical audio engineering or application support within life safety or large scale commercial AV Strong experience designing or delivering PAVA and safety critical audio systems Solid understanding of EN 54 and emergency voice alarm principles Knowledge of BS 5839 8, ISO 7240 or similar standards desirable Experience with DSP platforms such as Q SYS or equivalent Experience with Dante and IP based audio distribution Understanding of AV network infrastructure including VLANs and managed switches Exposure to Cisco or enterprise networking beneficial Strong documentation and schematic interpretation skills Confident communicator able to support clients and internal teams Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel Degree or equivalent experience in Audio Engineering, Electronics or Systems Engineering preferred.
