As a Timetable Consultant MIS, you will develop and build school timetables, deliver expert consultancy and training, and ensure effective communication between schools and School ICT. In addition, your responsibilities include supporting schools in managing their timetables and curriculum throughout the academic year. As a lead consultant you will work collaboratively with the consultant pool, and designated school contacts to maintain data accuracy and meet agreed timelines. You will provide remote MIS support, stay abreast of the latest developments in products and services, and contribute to the creation and updating of key guidance documentation, all while promoting best practices in curriculum management and timetable efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess at least two years of timetabling experience, demonstrating substantial expertise in using at least one specialist timetabling software. Extensive knowledge of at least 2 MIS packages, particularly SIMS, Arbor, and Bromcom is desirable. You should be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, be highly organized, and a proactive self-learner. Responsibilities: Collaborate with school leaders and staff to build and implement effective timetables Maintain clear and regular communication with schools regarding timetable progress Advise on curriculum models and staffing to optimize timetable efficiency Provide both remote and onsite support for MIS and timetable-related queries Log and track support requests to ensure timely resolution Adhere to key performance indicators and organizational priorities Keep stakeholders informed of case progress and software updates Support the configuration and maintenance of MIS systems in schools Share expertise with colleagues and contribute to staff training Advise schools on process improvements and statutory requirements Develop and maintain high-quality support documentation You will report to the Head of MIS and Team Leaders. Skills/Abilities Essential Timetable building experience (2 years minimum) Experienced in one or more of the following Nova T6, Edval, or Timetabler A professional, cheerful and clear disposition with a focus on excellent customer service Excellent knowledge of the Curriculum management, P16 and maintaining the school timetable modules in at least two of the following MIS Arbor, Bromcom or SIMS. Be familiar with the statutory data returns including Post 16 Funding legislation and the school census Accomplished user of Microsoft Office and associated software packages Excellent problem-solving skills, being able to be innovative and think outside the box to find resolutions. Able to interpret complex documentation and communicate findings verbally and in written documents. Deliver training and consultancy to a high standard. The ability to plan and prioritise work logically, at times working under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
