Retail Butcher

We are looking for two experienced Retails Butchers to join a brand-new, high-quality farm shop opening in Long Eaton. This position would suit someone who is looking for a temporary or permanent opportunity, both options are available. Along with a salary of up to £16 per hour (depending on experience), you will also receive:

As Retail Butcher, you will be responsible for:

• Preparing and portioning boxed meat to spec
• Cutting, trimming, wrapping and presenting products to a high standard
• Supporting the counter with customer-facing service (no till work required)
• Maintaining excellent hygiene and food safety standards
• Supporting general prep and display throughout the day
• Working confidently both front of house and in the back prep area

This role is ideal for a Butcher who is comfortable speaking with customers but also enjoys hands-on butchery work behind the scenes.We're looking for a Retail Butcher with:

• Strong knife skills and experience working with boxed meat
• Background in retail butchery, catering butchery, farm shops or similar
• Good communication and confidence serving customers
• High standards of hygiene, presentation, and product care
• Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently when needed
• Able to start as soon as possible is a strong advantage
