Head of Behaviour / Pastoral Lead - SEND / SEMH Provision
Location: Old Trafford, Manchester
Salary: 35,000 - 45,000 FTE
Contract: Permanent / Long-term
Simply Education is supporting a specialist SEND/SEMH provision in Old Trafford, Manchester to recruit a dedicated and experienced Head of Behaviour / Pastoral Lead. This is a pivotal role for someone committed to improving outcomes for children requiring additional support, leading on behaviour, pastoral care, and whole-school wellbeing.
The role:
Lead and manage behaviour and pastoral strategies across the provision.
Support staff with behaviour management, interventions, and safeguarding.
Develop individualised support plans for pupils with complex needs.
Monitor and evaluate the impact of pastoral and behaviour initiatives.
Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure consistent support and positive outcomes.
The ideal candidate will have:
Proven experience in a pastoral or behaviour leadership role, ideally within SEND/SEMH settings.
Strong knowledge of behaviour management strategies, safeguarding, and inclusion.
Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.
A flexible, empathetic, and solution-focused approach to supporting children and staff.
