This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the S Stock upgrade works in the rail industry. The role offers a competitive hourly rate of 39.24 and a chance to work on high-profile projects within the rail sector. Key Responsibilities: Reading and following detailed work instructions and component assembly drawings Using a variety of hand tools, bearing press, and power tools Setting and using a Torque Wrench, including witness marking Operating overhead cranes and workshop equipment (training will be provided) Using basic measuring tools, including Vernier calipers, micrometers, and rulers Maintaining complex systems and machinery to the highest standards Requirements: Level 3 Mechanical qualification (or equivalent) Strong experience in using hand tools, bearing press, and power tools Ability to read and follow technical drawings and work instructions Experience with torque wrenches and understanding of witness marking principles Ability to use basic measuring tools accurately Previous experience in the rail industry or similar sectors is desirable but not essential We can only consider applications from those eligible to work in the UK for this role.
