Experience and Qualifications There are a few of things we need from you: - You need to have an engineering background with a vehicular focus - bus, HGV / LGV, truck and buses will be a great advantage. You need to want to deliver high standards of engineering maintenance and repair. Applicants must possess at least an NVQ Level 2 qualification in the maintenance and repair of public service vehicles or heavy goods vehicles (or an equivalent international qualification), or alternatively have a minimum of five years' experience in repairing and maintaining such vehicles, with evidence required to support this. Proof of qualification from the awarding body must be provided, and in cases where an NVQ is not held, candidates will be required to successfully pass the IRTEC Service Maintenance Technician exam during their six-month probation period. While not essential, holding a PCV licence would be considered a significant advantage.
