Payroll Assistant, Part time, 23.5 hours per week, Glasgow

Responsibilities

  • Accurately process weekly and monthly payroll within internal deadlines.
  • Maintain and update employee payroll and HR records to ensure data accuracy.
  • Calculate wages, deductions, overtime, and statutory payments in line with current legislation.
  • Ensure full compliance with payroll legislation and internal company policies.
  • Respond to employee payroll queries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Support reporting processes and year-end payroll activities.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and high standards of accuracy in all payroll-related tasks.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a payroll assistant is essential.
  • Proficient in Sage Payroll software (required).
  • Strong understanding of payroll legislation and statutory requirements.
  • High level of numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
  • Commitment to working consistently across the designated part-time schedule.
